Difference between Server and Workstation

1. SERVER
A server is the heart of the network. Servers usually are high-speed computers with large memory capacity (RAM) and storage, can be connected to fast network interfaces (fast network interfaces). To support high performance, it is possible to install multiple processors on a server symmetrically. Likewise other equipment such as main board, resources and RAM are selected high quality, so the server is able to operate continuously without stopping to serve requests. The network operating system is also chosen to work on the computer, along with application software and data files needed .
2. Workstation
All Computers connected to a server on the network are called workstations. The workstation is a standard computer that is configured using a network card, network software and cables - cables that are needed. Some workstations do not need local storage such as a floppy disk or hard disk. This is because all work files can be stored on the server
